Modern Convenience

_____________________________________

The seat heat spoils me, no grief – modern convenience, I’m spoiled

Cold days and long days, a relief – on to a warm place, I’ve toiled

Not just for winter, a stress thief – great for long road trips, stress foiled

My Required option, even brief – I’ll always have it, I’m loyal.

(A Dabali Shairi Poem)

March 3

It’s good for a bit of perspective

Power’s back on, what a relief

It’s an inconvenience at best

Two days without causes such grief

Really the problem is minor

*

Into day three I was stressed

Thankfully the outage was brief

And for that I feel quite blessed

I should stop being a whiner

*

I shake my head in disbelief

At the large numbers of oppressed

Who’s daily life is this great grief

Only rare systems are finer

*

Disparate access should be addressed

Everyone should feel this relief.
